Creating My 1st Bullet Journal
As part of my determination to grow my blog this year, I needed to get organized.
I tried a few different ways of organizing all my ideas and plans, but I didn’t really like any of them.
They were ok, but just now what I really needed them to be. After browsing Pinterest for some ideas I ran across bullet journals.
I was instantly in love with the idea and knew I had to make one. My son, Jaden, like to write and he is super creative.
He wanted to make one too so we’re doing it together as a fun project. I get to make the one I need for my business and spend time with my son too!
It’s a win-win. I think Jaden will really benefit from it too. For those of you who don’t know my son, he was diagnosed with ADHD just like his father.
He as a lot of problems with impulse control and staying on task.
He easily gets distracted and ends up wasting hours playing when he was supposed to be doing his chores.
We are constantly having to rush him along throughout his day.
One of the things I found that were suggested to help kids with ADHD was to give them a routine and a schedule.
What better way to do that then by having him create his very own bullet journal.
He gets to express his creativity and make it his own with my help when needed. He can put whatever he wants to in it.
The possibilities are really endless. He was so excited about the idea that I took him out yesterday after school and got us both the supplies we needed to make our journals.
He still has to design his pages – with my help of course – but I got my first page sketched out! I just have to color it in. What do you think??!!
